This 2012 Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue weighs 8.5lbs and offers a balanced feel with a lively acoustic response—a guitar made to be enjoyed as much as admired.

Its two-piece figured maple top sits over a lightweight, one-piece mahogany body. As part of its Historic Makeovers transformation, Erin received a neck reset using traditional hot hide glue. Royalite binding was also added, bringing another vintage-inspired detail to the instrument. The Historic Makeovers nitrocellulose lacquer finish gives Erin a beautifully understated look, with subtle aging that adds the character of a well-loved instrument without overshadowing the wood or the color.

In hand, the classic ’59 C neck feels substantial yet comfortable, with soft shoulders and measurements of .88" at the first fret and .98" at the 12th. Jescar 47104 frets round out the playing experience, providing a smooth, precise feel from open-position chords to leads higher up the neck.

Erin’s voice comes from a set of Ballestone 59 PAF pickups. Clear, articulate highs sit above a rich, vocal midrange and a tight low end, with the dynamic response to follow changes in your touch.
